Location
Engiz Beach lies in Kumcağız neighborhood of Samsun's 19 Mayıs district, along the Black Sea coast, about 38 kilometers from the city center. It is one of the district's best-preserved natural shores, set along one of the region's longest stretches of coastline.
Beach Features
Known for its wide, fine sand, Engiz Beach has water that deepens gradually from the shore, making it a safe choice for families with children and inexperienced swimmers. Picnic tables and seating are available in the wooded area behind the beach, along with sunbed and umbrella rental.
Visitor Information
Entry to the beach is free. Popular with domestic tourists in summer, it also offers space for camping and nature walks. Combined with the nearby Engiz Aquapark, visitors can enjoy both the sea and water park in a single day. The best time to visit is between June and September.
Surroundings
The Kızılırmak Delta Bird Paradise, west of the beach, offers an additional nature excursion a short drive away. As the sea can occasionally be rough along this stretch, swimmers are advised to follow lifeguard warnings.
