Havza Thermal Springs

Overview

Havza Thermal Springs is a historic thermal tourism area about 1 kilometer from the center of Havza district and roughly 81 kilometers from central Samsun. The district lies at about the 80th kilometer of the Samsun-Ankara highway (D795), making it accessible from both Samsun and central Anatolia. The spring water reaches about 53°C at the surface and contains iron, silicon and sodium, along with a partial calcium bicarbonate content.

Health Benefits

According to Ministry of Health test results, Havza's mineral-rich water is used to support the treatment of rheumatic conditions, varicose veins, certain skin diseases and neurological complaints.

Accommodation and Visiting

Several thermal hotels using the spring water operate in the district center, and more than a hundred houses additionally open as guesthouses for visitors during the summer months. Havza has long stood out as one of the districts with the most intensive thermal tourism, and its spa culture forms an important part of daily life there. The region's spa culture reflects a centuries-old tradition of seeking healing waters, still alive today.
