Atatürk Park

History

Adjacent to Cumhuriyet Square, Atatürk Park is regarded as Samsun's first city park. It was landscaped around the Statue of Honor, which became one of the city's best-known symbols, and remains one of the busiest green spaces in the city center.

Inside the Park

Tree-lined walking paths, seasonal flower beds, ornamental pools, benches and a children's playground make up the park's main features. Cafés line its edges, and the park sees heavy foot traffic throughout the day.
