Mert Beach

Location and Features

Mert Beach lies in İlkadım's Kılıçdede neighborhood, west of the Mert River, on the coastal road opposite the new courthouse. About 2.5 kilometres from the city centre, the facility covers a total area of 20,000 square metres and can accommodate up to 5,000 visitors at a time.

Facilities

With its aquapark and slides running into the sea, the beach is especially popular with families and children. It offers a children's pool, a vitamin bar, changing rooms, sunbathing and seating areas, shower cabins, toilets and a cafeteria.

Visitor Information

Operated by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, the facility is easily reached by car or public transport along the coastal road, and draws large crowds on summer weekends.
