Akdağ Ski Center

Overview

Akdağ Ski Center is a winter tourism facility built on the slopes of Akdağ in Samsun's Ladik district. Located about 7 kilometers from the district center and roughly 80 kilometers from central Samsun, the facility can be reached by road in about 1.5 hours.

Runs and Elevation

The ski center sits at elevations between 1,500 and 2,000 meters, using the slopes of Akdağ, whose peak reaches 2,062 meters. The facility has 6 different runs ranging from 1,600 to 3,500 meters in length, laid out to suit skiers of different levels.

Summer Tourism and Accommodation

The ski center is active not only in winter but also in summer, when plateau festivals held on its slopes include events such as grass-skiing competitions. On-site hotels offer accommodation, making the area a year-round winter and nature tourism destination. The facility also includes social amenities operated by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, giving visitors easy access to services such as ski equipment rental and accommodation.
